Rob Napolitano

Rob is a multiple-time New Jersey State Champion; a 2-time NCAA All American and 10-time Ivy League Champion in Cross Country, Track and Field at Columbia University; a 2-time National Champion and record holder over 1500m and a World Championship Qualifying Athlete.

Rob started his running career at Red Bank Catholic High School in Red Bank, New Jersey under Coach Rob DeFilippis. Under Rob’s tenure, Napolitano won a handful of County, Group and State Championships in Cross Country and on the Track. 

At Columbia, Rob first broke the 4-minute-mile barrier clocking 3:58 indoors and continued to chase fast times in the NCAA. Upon graduating in 2017, Rob signed with Hoka One One and later Diadora, allowing him to train professionally and compete on the international stage. In 2023, Rob Qualified for the World Athletics Championships in Budapest and is eyeing the 2024 Olympics in Paris.

His personal bests include a 24:35 8K, a 13:52 5K, a 1:47 800 and a 3:54 mile. In his spare time Rob enjoys surfing, cycling and playing oldies on his guitar.

Rob DeFilippis

Rob is a certified USATF Level I Track and Field Coach with over 30 years experience, coaching athletes of all ages and abilities across a multitude of disciplines in the sport.

After competing as an NCAA Division I Cross Country and Track athlete at the University of Maryland and earning his Bachelors degree in Kinesiology, Rob transitioned into a Collegiate, High School, and Private Coach thereafter. He is the current coach of Red Bank Catholic High School in New Jersey, where in 2011 his girl’s 4 x 800 relay team won the National Indoor National Championship Title running the 3rd fastest time in US history in 8:56.3. Rob has also coached several Eastern States champions on the track , 2 sub 4 minute milers,  multiple NJ All Group State champions, as well as several USATF National qualifiers both on the track and roads.

Rob has coached his high school and private athletes to many of the country’s top Universities and Colleges including Columbia, Stanford, New York University, University of Virginia, Villanova, Notre Dame, and University of Tennessee.

In addition to his coaching credentials, Rob also is the founder of the Runner's High specialty run shops located in NJ, which have been serving runners of all abilities for over 20 years.
